Himalaya specializes in reimagining the classic Defender with upgraded power and improved performance. Instead of the dated 3.9-liter OG Land Rover V8, they replace it with a Chevy LS3 V8 crate engine with approximately 500 horsepower backed by a GM 6L80E six-speed automatic.
Osprey Custom Cars, based in North Carolina, specializes in a cutting-edge Defender 90/110/130 build that uses galvanized chassis and LS-swapped motors.

For example, Osprey’s Atoto aftermarket head unit features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and offers a lot of useful functionality. Osprey also added a heated windshield and rearview camera. The front of the Osprey’s interior is all classic Land Rover, including the column stalks and climate control.
